I’m Krys Kona, a Polish-born photographer, filmmaker and image-maker based in the UK. Working at the intersection of art and fashion, I explore identity and transformation.
Rooted in analogue photography and experimental film, my practice has expanded into digital imagery and selective use of AI. Clothing, performance and everyday locations become materials for constructing visual narratives, where traces of the past inhabit the present and familiar scenes take on an uncertain reality.
Through Fashion No Fashion, I develop a meta-fashion narrative: stories about fashion itself, the identities it promises and the roles we perform through it. My photographs and films approach transformation as an unfinished process, allowing bodies, garments and places to shift between what they are, what they remember and what they might become.
Fever - deconstructed beauty
Exploring the body and beauty as unstable, fragmented and continually reconstructed.
Icarus
Icarus reframes the myth of flight and collapse through fashion, performance and makeshift materials. Wrapped in reflective foil, the body becomes both armour and fragile skin—caught between aspiration, exposure and the inevitable fall.
Fashion No Fashion SG/2
A retro-futuristic project where fashion meets science fiction. Two figures trapped in a digital world attempt to cross the boundary between reality and VR.

CALL ME PINK

Movement in Red — Fashion / No Fashion Series

Digital Expressions
Exploring identity and transformation within the digital landscape, blurring the boundaries between the physical and the virtual.
Wash Me Wrong
Sportswear slips into the bath. Foam clings to fabric, makeup holds on, and the look begins to dissolve. Part of Fashion No Fashion, Wash Me Wrong treats washing as a fashion performance: a moment of undoing, with no promise of coming out clean.
The Fabbs walk
A glimpse into the unfinished world of Rick Fabbs, where clothes take on a life of their own.
